Until very recently, WHOOP did not support Apple Health integration. So this meant you couldn’t use your Apple Watch with a WHOOP Strap. But with a recent update WHOOP now allows Apple Health integration. This is currently a Beta service but it is available to all iOS members.
iOS members can now connect their WHOOP account with Apple Health and WHOOP will import data from Apple Health to the WHOOP app. This means all your Apple Watch data, and other data on your Apple Health app will be available on WHOOP too.
WHOOP will use this data to create activities and use the body metrics from Apple Health to improve the calculation accuracy of the WHOOP Strap. This will also allow WHOOP to keep your entire health profile up to date across the platforms.
You should also note that this is not the optimal solution yet, because as of now only WHOOP will be able to use your Apple Watch and Apple Health data to improve certain aspects of its tracking.
WHOOP doesn’t synchronize any data collected by the WHOOP Strap to Apple Health yet. Hopefully in the future WHOOP will allow Apple Health to import data which will make it easy for users to access all their fitness and health data in one place.
If you want to sync your Apple Watch data with WHOOP then you have to enable WHOOP to access Apple Health first. To enable Apple Health app access to WHOOP, follow these steps:
Step 1 Update your WHOOP app to the latest version.
Step 2 Open the WHOOP app on your iPhone and click the menu icon in the bottom-right corner.
Step 3 Scroll down and tap on Integrations.
Step 4 Tap on Apple Health.
Step 5 Now, tap on Connect.
Step 6 Tap Turn on all or select which categories you’d like to share between WHOOP and Apple Health.
Step 7 Tap on Allow.
Now, all your data recorded on your Apple Watch will be shared with WHOOP and this will allow for better activity and health tracking. You can also manage the data shared between WHOOP and Apple Health. Read the next section to know more.

The WHOOP Strap doesn’t feature a built-in GPS sensor and so it cant track your runs. But since WHOOP supports Strava, you can share running sessions measured on Strava with your smartphone or Apple Watch and sync it to WHOOP after the run.
Do you have to Wear WHOOP All Day?
If you want the best tracking accuracy and health insights, then you will have to wear your WHOOP Strap all day. The WHOOP Strap is comfortable to wear all day since it is soft and breathable. It is also lightweight making it easy to wear all day long.
If you are not comfortable wearing the WHOOP Strap on your wrist then you can wear it on your arm using the armband version of it.
